ABSTRACT

SEXUAL PROBLEMS OF THE PATIENTS WHO SUFFER FROM BREAST CARCINOMA It’s clearly stated that breast carcinoma which has an avarage five year survival of 75% is one of the most common and best prognostic cancers among women. Health issues causing an alteration in the normal sexual life of the patients can be a major cause for the physical, psychological and social problems . Unaltered sexual activity is an important issue for the cancer patients as well as the healthy individuals. Despite being a mortal disease breast cancer is also among the most affective diseases which cause sexual problems to the patient. The surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonotherapy for the treatment are the major causes of the problems of the sexual life. The sexual needs of a cancer patient are indeed no different from the healthy individuals. The need of intimacy, love, compassion and commitment are unic for everyone.
