ABSTRACT

We report a case of neuroendocrine breast carcinoma in 63 years old women. She has presented with just about 1,5 cm palpable mass in her left breast. The mass was solid heterogeneous by ultrasound and micro calcifi cation detected by mammography. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a malin nature and appearance. According to patient preference modifi ed radical mastectomy has been performed. More than 50 % of malignant cell was expressing neuroendocrine markers by immunohistochemical examination. Further evaluation could not demonstrate other primary tumor site and the tumor have been accepted as the primary neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast. The patient has received 1 mg anastrasole in a day as adjuvant hormonal therapy. Adjuvant chemotherapy is not used. Recurrence has not been detected at 26 months after surgery.
